HISTORY

Our history began in Tabasco in the 1950s, with the vision of engineer Ignacio Rubio Ruiz, and quickly expanded to other regions of the country.

Since then, we have participated in key infrastructure projects:

Bridges, roads, hydraulic works, housing, tourism developments, and collaboration with Pemex.

Today, we continue to grow with the same vision:

1951

Constructora Rubio founded by Ignacio Rubio Ruiz. Construction of the first project: the Amacuzac-Iguala road in Guerrero.

1953

Ignacio Rubio and Manuel Landa Meinhard join forces to form Landa y Rubio.

1958

Construction of the Villa Aldama-Puerto Gómez section in Chihuahua.

Construction of the Nezahualcóyotl Dam (Malpaso) in Chiapas

PROJECTS

Mexico City-Cuernavaca-Acapulco Highway

The old Mexico City-Cuernavaca-Acapulco highway is a testament to the development and expansion that the port of Acapulco has undergone over the years.

Malpaso Dam

In 1961, we participated in the construction of the Malpaso Dam in Mezcalapa, Chiapas, as part of the Raudales Consortium.

Banco Tortuguero

El Tortuguero hill is 53 kilometers from Villahermosa. This has been a source of stone material since 1965.

Pajaritos Petrochemical Complex

Our history of collaboration with Pemex dates back to the 1960s, with our participation in the Pajaritos Petrochemical Complex in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz.

Urbanización Tabasco 2000

Tabasco 2000 hasta la fecha se mantiene como uno de los principales espacios comerciales y urbanos de la ciudad.

El Tamarindo

El Tamarindo is a tourist and residential complex that offers a luxurious and relaxing lifestyle. We participated in the construction of 25 kilometers of roads and major earthworks for the golf course.

El Zacatal Bridge

This is one of the longest and best-known bridges in Mexico. It is located in the state of Campeche and connects the island of Carmen with the rest of the state via the Laguna de Términos.

Careyes

Careyes is an exclusive luxury destination that combines art, architecture, and nature on the Mexican Pacific coast. It offers accommodation in villas, casitas, bungalows, and private residences.

Las Choapas-Raudales Highway

One of the largest projects we have undertaken is to connect Veracruz with Chiapas via a highway, which also passes through areas of Tabasco.

Chontalpa Junction

The Chontalpa Station-Las Choapas-Ocozocuautla Highway Junction is a project designed to improve connectivity between Tabasco, Veracruz, and Chiapas.

Villahermosa Bypass

This is one of the most significant road infrastructure projects for the connectivity and development of the city.

Ignacio Rubio Bridge

The bridge, named in honor of Ignacio Rubio Ruiz, is located on the Villahermosa bypass.

Quintín Aráuz Bridge

Before 2021, the towns of Centla and Quintín Aráuz were completely cut off from each other, with the only means of contact being by boat.

Santa María Colotepec Bridge

Located on the highway connecting Oaxaca with Puerto Escondido, it is a key project for the development of the state’s coastal region.

Texcoco Ecological Park

This is one of the most important environmental conservation and restoration initiatives in the Valley of Mexico.

Mariano García Sela Bridge

This bridge facilitates traffic between important areas, improving mobility for thousands of vehicles daily and contributing to local economic growth.
